Despite the challenges posed by Trump’s tariffs impacting the industry, the blockchain sector showed resilience in May 2025. There’s a growing confidence that Web3 is here to stay, with its influence steadily expanding into politics, entertainment, and technology. Against tough market conditions, DappRadar continued to perform strongly, delivering consistent results. Let’s explore the key highlights of the month of May.
Media Mentions
With 939 media mentions throughout the month, May became the second biggest month for media mentions ever recorded. Only April did better, carried by the Q1 2025 Dapp Industry Report. However, in May we published various reports and we managed to keep the number of media mentions very consistent throughout the month.
In the week where we published the Dapp Industry Report, we managed to attract 240 media mentions. One week later, when we published the BGA Games Report, we noted a total of 239 media mentions. During the third week both reports resonated well, and we still had 203 mentions. In the last week of the month we had 188 media mentions as we published a mini report about NFT lending.
Of course we now refer to our reports as the main contributor for our media mentions, but we also had blogs and news websites refer to our data about dapps and chains. Nonetheless, the total amount of 939 media mentions was impressive, and we’re keen to see if we can keep up the pace.
Reports
In May we published the following reports:
These reports contribute to our media mentions, and often generate headlines. These reports get read by a couple of thousand people, and reach millions through the media and influencers on X sharing data. These reports get published on our blog, and redistributed through social media and our newsletter. In addition, we publish the report as a podcast on YouTube and X.
As a community member you can contribute too. You can do this by creating your own content and publishing it on social platforms or blog websites. Please ensure to always add a link back to our website, as it makes it easier to find and report on your content.
Product development
AI agent swarms
The team is still working hard on our first AI-powered product. We have good hopes to share more details in next month’s DAO newsletter, and with a bit of luck we can even welcome a first version of the product before the end of June. Our co-founder Dragos Dunica already revealed a few details about our efforts with AI agents and AI agent swarms.
“With the team at DappRadar we are building vertical AI agent swarms. Instead of one general purpose AI for all of Web3, we’re building specialized teams of AI agents. These teams, or swarms, focus on one particular project. Agents look at blockchain data, blog posts, social media activity and so on.“ – Dragos Dunica, on our blog.
New narratives
First we launched a couple of new narrative pages. After launching narrative pages about DeFi, gaming and NFTs, we now also welcomed pages about “Virtuals Genesis” and “Gambling”. You can read the announcement for the Gambling Narrative Page on our blog.
Ideally these pages will help us to catch the hype, and allow users to explore the trend as close as possible. Down the line we want to be able to create a new ‘narrative page’ within a few hours.
Premium for Developers
After many requests from developers, we have launched Premium for Developers, a subscription that gives devs priority access, custom charts and better services to promote their listing. It’s a way for us to offer better services to those who really want it. With the discount code LAUNCH100, developers can get $100 of their monthly subscription. Read the announcement.
MCP Servers
Co-founder Dragos Dunica has been vibe coding, and built a DappRadar MCP server. Ideal for those who are also building in Web3, and utilizing AI. Thanks to the DappRadar MCP server, AI agents can get access to our data, information and metrics.
Integrations
This May we didn’t list any new chains, but we had a smaller, custom integration:
- SubHub - a messaging and marketing tool built on ICP
Marketing
Throughout the month, our marketing has been busy with all kinds of events and campaigns. By now, the Ultimate Quest Challenge for developers has ended. The campaign has been seen by thousands of builders across the industry. In the beginning of the month we also organized an AMA with Vara Network.
DappRadar also actively works together with other builders in the industry. This month we provided Pond with over 10,000 labeled wallets. This initiative was part of the Ethereum Foundation to improve public goods and AI tooling.
In addition, we give participants in the DappLaunch Program more visibility through a dedicated “DappLaunch” category on the Airdrops page. Furthermore, we did a Pizza Day event, and partnered with CookieDAO so that you can claim your own DappRadar OG badge on Cookie.fun.
DappRadar DAO and RADAR
In May, the DAO launched a vote for DCP-32. This proposal requested a budget for Q2 and Q3 2025, but moreover highlighted the vision for agents on DappRadar. The community accepted the proposal with 100% confidence, reaching 125% quorum from 33 votes. Even though the vote is closed, we do advise you to read the proposal.
At the same time the DAO is working on building a Trust Layer for AI agents, built using AI and powered by the community. This Trust Layer requires a Trust Score for each agent, which is scored, reviewed and updated over time by both agents and community members. So, yes, DappRadar UAB is building agent swarms, and the DAO is building a Trust Layer to score those agents (and all other agents in Web3).
We will drop more alpha on this topic at a later date.
PRO membership update
On June 3rd, we had a total of 1,038 PRO members in our community. That means that we lost 10 PRO members throughout the month. After the Trump tariffs and the shock that went through the industry, we’ve seen a group of people unstaking their $RADAR. Because there’s a 30-day cooldown period, the effects of those actions weren’t visible until the month of May.
Honestly. They’ll be back.
But that doesn’t change the fact that, for the first time ever, we’ve seen a decrease in the number of PRO members.
The PRO membership is becoming more valuable as the DappRadar platform grows. For example, PRO members get access to the following:
- Special airdrops from clients and DappLaunch partners
- Full access to tools and data to supercharge your ability to find gems
- Boosting Power to promote your favorite dapps
- Full access to Hot Contracts, to explore newly launched tokens
- And of course 15% APY on your staked RADAR tokens.
Yes, the DappRadar PRO membership is the only high quality membership that not only empowers the community, but also lets them earn interest. Simply stake at least 30,000 RADAR and you’re ready to go and call yourself PRO!
DappLaunch
Even though we didn’t announce any new partners during May, the DappLaunch program did make progress. Projects with an upcoming TGE are now listed on the Airdrops page under the DappLaunch tab.
At the time of writing we have 3 projects listed:
- Me Protocol
- DePINed
- Eden: Discovery
$RADAR buyback
Between May 20th and May 24th, the DAO is bought back 4.3125 ETH worth of $RADAR from the market. That’s a total of 2,950,801 $RADAR with a total value of $11,002 at the time of the purchase. The buyback happened through 9 different buying orders.
We remain committed into growing the $RADAR ecosystem, making PRO interesting for all Web3 users, and creating tools and services powered by the $RADAR token.
Closing words
As we wrap up May 2025, DappRadar continues to thrive amidst industry turbulence, proving the resilience of Web3. From record-breaking media mentions to groundbreaking AI agent swarms and the innovative Trust Layer, our community and platform are pushing boundaries. The DappRadar DAO remains a beacon of community-driven progress, and with new narrative pages, developer tools, and the unwavering support of our PRO members, we’re poised for an exciting June. Stay tuned for more alpha, and let’s keep building the future of Web3 together!
