DappRadar DAO Newsletter - April 2025

The first quarter of 2025 is already behind us, and this wasn’t the start of the year we’d all hope for as humanity. Nonetheless we can see the World’s Dapp Store shaping up, and internal discussions have carved a route towards a service oriented dapp store powered by AI. We’re excited about the route ahead of us, but also realize that the current state of the world will bring challenges.

While we - as an industry - are building an open system for everybody to participate in, the political world is building walls. These walls are set by introducing import tariffs, activating the army, and literally closing borders. We, as a people, should aim for a better world. Obviously a dapp store will not change the socio-political situation, but at least it’s an example of making an entire industry accessible to anybody.

As DappRadar we believe in making Web3 discoverable for all people, ignoring countries and their borders, race, religion, sexual orientation or political preferences. We do this by building easy to use tools, and making complex data easy to understand. We’re excited about the road ahead of us, and we hope you are as well.

For now, let’s look back at our achievements in March 2025.

Media Mentions

When it comes to the number of times DappRadar was mentioned in the media, January started with a bang. However, we saw a 40% drop in February. Therefore, I am excited to reveal that March made a comeback and was a very successful month. Through Mention.com we registered 731 media mentions in March 2025, placing the month on par with January 2025 (756) and November 2024 (744).

Similar to previous months, reports played an important role. Media value when we present monthly data, and they tend to report a lot on those reports. However, we’ve got a challenge ahead of us to keep media mentions high also in the weeks when we don’t publish reports. We will have to educate journalists on how to use DappRadar to find valuable information to enhance their articles.

In March, the reach of our media mentions exceeded 94.5 million. This number is significantly lower than the 113 million from January, but outpaced the 75.5 million from February.

Reports

In March we published the following 5 reports:

These reports contribute to our media mentions, and often generate headlines. These reports get read by a couple of thousand people, and reach millions through the media and influencers on X sharing data.

It’s also important to note that we publish our reports in various formats. Of course there’s the report on our website itself, but we also redistribute it in different formats on X and YouTube. This allows bots and AI to get access to dapp data in various ways. Check out our YouTube channel.

Product development

Behind our closed doors we’re working on implementing AI into the DappRadar experience, and we will start on a small scale before ramping things up. However, nothing has been released yet and therefore I have probably already said too much.

In terms of product development, things have been relatively quiet. This March we upgraded our NFT modal, to give users better access to all the necessary information they’d need when dealing with NFTs. Especially with the OpenSea airdrop around the corner, whenever the new bull market for NFTs returns, we will be ready for it.

Integrations

Even though we released a small amount of product updates, we did welcome a couple of new blockchains to our ecosystem. We now track dapps across a total of 84 chains, and in March we welcomed one chain:

Various market conditions have caused a delay on a couple of integrations, but believe me when I say we’ve got a lot more coming. We already did a pre-announcement of the integration of Boba, which should happen pretty soon.

DappRadar API

DappRadar offers its own API to other teams in the industry. Even though DappRadar is not a fully onchain platform, the wider industry values our contribution and the data we provide. Through our API teams can tap into our data and enrich their products. In March we published an article about Lace Wallet, the leading wallet in Cardano. They use our data to enrich their wallet with their own mini dapp store.

In addition, if you’re using Rabby as your standard Web3 wallet software, then you may have seen our logo. Through DappRadar’s API, Rabby verifies the authenticity of website URLs and smart contracts. This is one example of how DappRadar’s trustworthiness enriches other products and makes Web3 a slightly safer place.

Marketing

This March, we organized various activities to put DappRadar and its initiatives into the spotlight. For example, we did an AMA with Mighty Labs about the DappLaunch partnership for their Trailblaze launchpad.

Quick reminder: Boosting Power is a soft-currency, earned through Quests or by staking RADAR for the PRO membership. Users can then use their Boosting Power to show support for their favorite Web3 projects listed on DappRadar. Every 2 weeks users may boost 5 or more projects, and earn XP for doing so. In the long run, XP will determine your position on the leaderboards.

In addition, we did a Quest in partnership with Bunni. This decentralized exchange uses Hooks, a new feature from Uniswap V4. Users could win a share of the 31,000 $RADAR prize pool. This Quest clearly highlighted the power of BP, also known as Boosting Power.

DappRadar DAO and RADAR

This March, we published our annual DappRadar DAO report. We strongly recommend reading the entire report. Moreover, anybody who’s reading this newsletter, should also be reading the report. It contains lots of alpha about the direction of the DAO, of which you - as a $RADAR token holder - are part of.

However, I understand that you’re lazy. That’s why we also did a Spaces on X, which you may re-listen to here. Or you could look at some pretty pictures through this presentation on Gamma. Anyway, we’ve published the key takeaways from the report here below:

  • Launched PRO Airdrop marketing – almost reaching 1000 PRO members, integrated DappLaunch within the DappRadar ecosystem, and enhanced our exposure through strategic partnerships.

  • Expanded BD-led initiatives like Quests and Airdrops, attracting 1,200+ DappLaunch applications and securing 25+ partnerships.

  • The DAO posted a net profit of $394K in 2024, driven primarily by RON validator fees, affiliate marketing revenue, and micropayments, demonstrating sustainable financial growth.

  • The DAO expanded its core team, increasing the number of active contributors from zero in 2023 to nine by the end of 2024, with plans to scale the DAO’s output quantity and quality throughout 2025.

  • The RADAR 3rd Birthday Quest engaged 878 participants, while the DAO’s X account reached 220K impressions, with content contributors responsible for 40% of engagement.

  • The community played an active role, resolving 443 support tickets since August, reinforcing the DAO’s reputation.

PRO membership update

On April 1st, we had a total of 1,015 PRO members in the DappRadar community. After all those months, we have finally seen the growth spurt we’ve been looking for. Increased communication about the PRO membership certainly made an impact. In addition, the dropping price of crypto (and therefore also $RADAR) makes the PRO membership right now cheaper than ever before.

By staking 30,000 (or more) RADAR, users can become a PRO member. This unlocks more data, more tools, more quests and more airdrop guides on the DappRadar platform. In addition, users get access to PRO Airdrops, which may come through partners or the DappLaunch program. Anyway, 30,000 RADAR now costs less than $100, making the membership a no-brainer for anybody who’s into Web3.

DappLaunch

After welcoming the ChainGPT launchpad in February, we now announced Trailblaze as a new DappLaunch partner. Trailblaze is an IDO launchpad. This partnership will enable projects in the DappLaunch program to get access to a top-tier launchpad, while the DappRadar PRO community can expect exclusive IDO whitelist spots for projects that launch on Trailblaze through DappLaunch.

DappLaunch unites some of the industry defining organizations in Web3. Each partner puts some of its resources on the table to benefit early stage Web3 projects. Launchpads offer token launches, while you can also imagine token listings, press release distribution, quest launches, and other marketing and growth initiatives.

Closing words

Buckle up, Web3 warriors! Q1 2025 has set the stage for an exciting year, as DappRadar gains ground and the DAO is raking in profits. Moreover, with AI on the horizon, and many exciting integrations (like Boba) in the pipeline, we’re on the cusp of something massive. Imagine a world where Web3 breaks down barriers, making decentralized services accessible for all. This can be powered by our tools and your passion. The best is yet to come—spread the word, share this hype, and join us as we redefine the digital frontier together! Let’s make Web3 exploration accessible to all as we break down barriers.
