Community Check-In: May 2025 Report

Gm everyone :satellite:
Here we go, second month into this ritual. The May community one-pager is live. You can view it here:
:point_right: Community One-pager (May 2025) - Google Docs

Now let’s reflect a bit.

We saw some growth in new joiners, tickets, and active members. I believe that’s thanks to a few key things:

  1. Skirmantas’ consistent pushes on his X account
  2. The DappRadar MCP launch and Dragos’ announcement on X
  3. The Premium Developer Subscription
  4. And of course, the RADAR price uptick

These show that building in public and reaching beyond our current circle actually works. Sharing what we’re doing from our personal accounts is key. People in the space want to see real builders building. They’re less interested in watching brands do it.
My theory is (not new, not something I invented) that people are tired of seeing big brands rise and fall. They want to invest in individuals who are doxxed or known for being trustworthy and consistent. I’m not saying we should ditch the brand. I’m saying we need a mix. A balance between the brand voice and the builders behind it.

Also, on the 100K impressions target for DAO X. We didn’t hit it this month, but May still ended up being our second best month in impressions since 2024. And more importantly, we reached an engagement rate we didn’t even see in April. That’s big. Impressions didn’t match April’s peak, but engagement went higher, which is honestly dope.

As for broader community growth, we talked about this last month. A couple of things are still open:
• I didn’t get much feedback on how we should evolve the community
• And honestly, finding developers in this space is tough. Not because they’re not out there, but because they’re already deep in build mode

So I think we need to attract people who are not yet locked in elsewhere. Builders who are still exploring. That’s who we need to bring in.

One final note: I believe PRO members will play a key role in the Trust Layer (not leaking anything, just my personal view). They should definitely get early access, as we’ve done in the past.

So let’s keep it going. Drop your thoughts below. Criticism, feedback, or just hellos… all welcome.
Let’s continue building and see what June has in store for us.

Thanks for the monthly report alex.

Of the 422 people who joined discord how many of these were bots id assume most amount of real people we would get would be around 16/31 in a month 1 every other day or 1 everyday 422 seems excessive considering how much are pro users goes up in a month.

See it just dont add up if we had that many real users join we be a lot more bizzyer in chat and we would have a lot more people here or finding out about here.

This is nice to see a positive increase in twitter presence big thanks to team for that one i have notice team presence on twitter and thats nice to see.

as for community growth (more twitter events i guess that helps or should help tho it takes time away from team members and most the info people want is ND)
(could do a breakfast thing or a lunch thing or even a evening thing) depends who ur trying to reach for community wise in the world u should take them into account as well.
(but regardless im part of the community and i aient going anywhere lol)

(could also tie this into boosted ranking dapp winner twitter events as well win win win get this done or add it to prizes sometimes it might not be perfect also do it backwards as in 3rd gets event first 2nd place gets event 2nd and 1st gets event last just before weekend (or even on the weekend force some DAO team members to work a weekend) this way they all get a hour to speak about what there platform does they can also poss questions for team to ask them so they can answer the questions or have subject points they would like to bring up reason i say make it near weekend or on the weekend is cuz most crypto people will be actively looking for twitter spaces during this time off during work than, being at an event during working hours) anyways im ranting ill stop lol.

Thanks for the report alex.

Thanks for the report @Alex-Mammoth .

I think that builders are realising that distribution is just as important as building the product, and those are the ones we can tap into too. This can be done through DappLaunch, through the Trust Layer, or even through the DappRadar listing application process through the questions we ask. Appreciate the momentum.

I agree with what @madeafterdeath is saying, we’re definitely increasing, and some might be bots and others might need to find what their role is in the community to stay. I also beleive that as mentioned, if the team is more on the main social layer of crypto, X, we can find a way for people to be involved in DappRadar without coming to the Discord, it won’t be for everyone as it’s a difficult platform to get used to if you’re not adjusted for it, not every user that comes in will convert to a regular, but it’s easy to convert people already on X to stay on X if they’re able to do DappRadar related actions there.

For example, imagine if we were able to get a way for people to tag @DappRadarListing under a post whenever a researcher started yapping about a new dapp/agent and it triggered the team to list the dapp, and that user got points for doing so, it would expand the DappRadar universe outside of our platform and into the mindshare of crypto’s Town Hall Twitter.

However, I also agree that we should consider holding more bi-weekly calls with the community. We haven’t done them in a while, and I think it’s time for the team to start building outside now, so we could initiate that. Love the idea of having the Boosted ranking dapp being at that event. I’d say that we include the top three or two as a prize for winning.

Additionally, it could be interesting for us to start including those that are yapping as part of the winners too, so even if you don’t have a lot of RADAR, but you have a big community, you can still climb up the leaderboard. That way, the dapps can then distirbute marketing budget through Boosting to encourage users who don’t have RADAR to also help them climb the leaderboard… could be a cool partnership to do with a Kaito, especially if we then also combine it with our fundamental-driven user acquisition focused on users actually using the product. This would evolve our Quest platform confidently into the InfoFi-era.

And great to see you back in the forums @sidneyakpaso – we’re building building :zap:

Id say even if they didn’t have a big community and they just funny or a good person and what they have to say is interesting and they can articulate it in a manner that most people understand, more people we have in are spaces the better =D
(doesn’t always have to be about dappradar cuz we is about data and other stuff as well just the fact we host events is good and if people tune in great)

So i agree even if they dont hold alot of radar that dont matter that much, if there community’s are big tho they should drop us a quest or something nice like =D lmao yes yes quests or airdrops haha that get community growing both sides the smaller projects with no so big of communitys might not be able to afford to do that at moment so id just be happy with them turning up talking and us (dappradar) helping the little guys grow.
